About Human Art and Photography by Phoenix Dawn
Phoenix Dawn is a blossoming artist, graphic designer, and photographer who also dabbles in creative writing. She adopted the name "Human Art and Photography" after she created her signature and logo from her photo "Believe". After graduating from Wasatch Academy she has moved on to study Graphic Design in the College of Business and Digital Communication Arts in the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University.
Her interest in art and design began at a young age, and because of this passion she chose to attend a boarding school where she could better study the arts. She became the Social Media Ambassador of Author and Princess, H.R.H. Sophie Audouin-mamikonian. She graduated from Wasatch Academy in 2014, and moved to Corvallis, Oregon to pursue her college career.
Phoenix has won several awards for her artwork and her photo "Savior" was displayed at the high school show at Springville Museum of Art. She also won an award of "Best Character Actress of State" in Utah for her performance in the play "The Bald Soprano". She works with many mediums including photography, makeup art, digital photo-manipulation and design, and traditional art.
In October of 2015, Phoenix Dawn was discovered by Oshi Rabin, the executive director of the Mahlstedt Gallery in New York. Phoenix signed a sole representation contract with the gallery, and they now sell several of her works on their website, www.415NY.com, and on Amazon.com.
Recently, Phoenix has been exploring opportunities to show her artwork at various venues. If you would like to see her work in person, visit the "Exhibits" page.
Phoenix has many inspirations for her work from trials in her past to the light of her future. Some of the people who inspire her include her mentor Angelles Laveau, one of her muses Kyle Thompson Photography, and her favorite band Anberlin. She also finds inspiration through other artists on Deviantart.com.
Currently she is working on more traditional artwork and hoping to raise money to be able to pay for frames for her artwork, art supplies, and various other expenses associated with her artwork.
